Halloween at Bateaux-Mouches: a free Seine cruise for kids in costume

Halloween x Bateaux Mouches takes place on Saturday 31 October 2026 at the Port de la Conférence, by the Pont de l'Alma in the 8th arrondissement. That day, the Bateaux-Mouches company (the classic open-top sightseeing boats on the Seine) lets children aged 4 to 12 ride for free if they come in costume, up to two children per adult.

Your child needs no ticket, you do. The adult pays the usual sightseeing cruise fare (€20, or €17 online on the company's website), and the little vampire or witch with you rides free. The company says sweets will be handed out before boarding.

The cruise lasts about an hour, up and down the Seine: Eiffel Tower, Invalides, Musée d'Orsay, the Louvre, the Conciergerie, Notre-Dame. It falls on a Saturday of the autumn school holidays, so morning departures are the quietest; in the evening you get the monuments lit up.

Boats leave every 30 minutes from 10am to 10pm according to the City of Paris and the company's site, with an extra 10.30pm departure on October Saturdays. Board at the Port de la Conférence on the right bank, next to the Pont de l'Alma: Metro Alma-Marceau (line 9) or RER C Pont de l'Alma.
