Halloween at Paris La Défense takes place on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October 2026 on place de La Défense, the plaza at the foot of the Grande Arche in the business district west of Paris. Everything is free, and this year's new feature is a 150 m² haunted maze set up on the esplanade.
The idea, according to the organiser: you walk into the maze, look for the exit and dodge the zombies wandering inside. Children must be with an adult. At the entrance, a make-up artist turns you into a witch, a vampire or a skeleton at no charge.
The pumpkin-carving workshop is back too. In groups of ten, with tools and pumpkin provided, you leave with your own lantern. It is held on Friday at the Espace Info, 15 place de La Défense, and on Saturday in the Jardin des Reflets, by booking, from age 8.
The maze and face painting are open on Friday from noon to 6pm and on Saturday from 11am to 6pm, no booking needed. Take metro line 1, RER A or E, or tram T2 to La Défense - Grande Arche.
