what passes, what stays.
Fugace is a Paris-based online media, launched in April 2026. Every day we spot what won't last in and around Paris: pop-ups, exhibitions, chef residencies, parties, markets, workshops.
No permanent rankings, no "top 10 this weekend", no catalogue. When an event ends, its page moves to the archive. It's in the name: fugace is French for fleeting.
who makes fugace
Fugace is published by Gary Aflalo, its publication director. Nothing goes online without sign-off.
how we pick
- Short-lived first. An event has an end date. What's there all year round doesn't belong here.
- From the source. Dates, opening hours, prices and directions come from the organiser: their website, ticketing page, press kit or official accounts. Every page links back to them.
- Dated. Every page shows when it was published or last updated. Before an event opens, we write what the organiser has announced: details can change, so check before you go.
- Fixed fast. Spotted a mistake? Tell us and we correct it the same day.
independence
A place in the selection can't be bought: we pick events on our own. When a page comes from a partnership, it says so, with a "partnership" label.
the English pages
The English pages are adaptations of the French ones, written for visitors: same facts, same dates, prices in euros. Not every French page has an English version yet.
