Art Basel Paris 2026 goes outside: the free public programme

The public programme of Art Basel Paris 2026 runs 20–25 October 2026, free and open to all, across nine sites around the Grand Palais and as far as Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The fair itself is ticketed; this trail is not.

The heart of it is avenue Winston-Churchill, between the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais, closed to traffic. According to Art Basel, Marcello Maloberti hangs a neon reading CIEL (sky) 20 metres up. Around it, the organiser lists bronzes by Yinka Shonibare, stacked stone spheres by Alicja Kwade and Niki de Saint Phalle's Cat Head Totem. Right next door, on place Clemenceau, stands Robert Indiana's LOVE Wall.

Inside the Petit Palais, free to enter, Cosima von Bonin sets loose her giant plush animals: leather octopuses, mohair orcas. In square Jean-Perrin, Lionel Sabatté's bronze birds; at the Beaux-Arts on rue Bonaparte, Kutluğ Ataman's forty TV sets. At the Palais d'Iéna, Alice Diop shows an installation produced by Miu Miu, 21–25 October.

Allow half a day on foot for the core of the trail. Students from the École du Louvre are on hand every day 2pm–5:30pm, 20–25 October. Metro Champs-Élysées - Clemenceau (lines 1 and 13).
