The Macallan In Residence: a two-day whisky listening bar in the Marais

The Macallan In Residence opens on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October 2026 at 17 rue Charlot, in the Haut-Marais (3rd arrondissement). During Art Basel Paris, the Scotch whisky house teams up with We Are Ona, the Paris studio behind pop-up restaurants such as Dalad's, for a listening bar: a bar built around a sound system, where you taste while you listen.

According to the press kit, sound leads the tasting. Audio designer Matéo Garcia built the listening system, and DJ and record collector Julien Lebrun composed tracks for each whisky poured. The brand's visuals show a room in deep red: curtains, banquettes, lacquered stools and walls of records.

Michelin-starred chef Armand Arnal, of La Chassagnette, cooks the pairings. Three formats each day: a guided tasting of two whiskies (3pm–4:30pm, €65), lunch with two whiskies and six small plates (12pm–2pm, €135), and dinner with three whiskies and eight small plates (7pm–10pm, €195).

On Saturday at 10am, 'Meet the Masters' is free, drinks not included: an hour with the experts behind the pop-up. It is the slot to pick if you just want to see the place.
