The Netflix Book Festival runs from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 October 2026 at Ground Control, a food and culture hall in a former rail depot at 81 rue du Charolais, in the 12th arrondissement. It is the first edition, organised by Netflix with the Centre national du livre (the French national book centre), around novels, manga and comics adapted for the screen.

At the centre is a pop-up library in the Halle Event, where you can sit and read. The books are lent by several dozen French publishers, according to Ground Control.

The programme is booked session by session, and it is in French. Friday at 7.30pm: a drag quiz in teams of five, hosted by HitsuBlu. Saturday: a book club on Pride and Prejudice at 2pm, a panel on romance at 5pm, then at 7pm a reading of You and Bridgerton by the French voices of Joe Goldberg and Penelope, with a live cellist. Sunday: a talk and signing with crime writer Olivier Norek at 2pm, a Roald Dahl reading for children at 3pm, a One Piece drawing workshop for ages 10 to 15 at 3.30pm and a panel on adapting classics at 5pm.

Everything is free, with registration, while places last. Book on Dice before you come: each session has its own ticket.

Ground Control is about ten minutes on foot from Gare de Lyon (Metro lines 1 and 14, RER A and D). Opening hours for the library have not been announced; sessions run 7.30pm–8.30pm on Friday, 2pm–8pm on Saturday and 2pm–6pm on Sunday.
