The Parc de l'Étrange returns to Parc André Citroën for its third edition, from 16 to 31 October. The trail is twice as long this year: almost two kilometres in the dark, right across the park in the 15th arrondissement.

You walk through 13 reimagined worlds: the valley of lanterns, the Styx, the lands of ash, the sabbath fire. Actors prowl in the mist, and an optional forbidden zone waits for anyone who really wants to be scared.

It all ends on the great lawn, with fireworks several times a night. On 30 and 31 October, the special nights bring more actors, aerial structures and up to five fireworks displays.

It's made for families as much as for thrill-seekers. Tickets are €24.90, or €19.90 for under-26s and students, with a family pack from four tickets. The entrance is on rue Leblanc, by Metro Balard or Javel-André Citroën. Book ahead: slots for Halloween week go fast.
