The Moomins, the little white trolls Tove Jansson drew in 1945, are stars in Finland and Sweden. In France, they had never had a shop. Now they do: a painted shop window at 36 rue Étienne-Marcel, in the 2nd arrondissement.
Inside, it's all on one floor, with pale wood and illustrated walls. Socks hang from a pegboard. There are stainless-steel mugs, tote bags and beanies, and a Little My plush that stares at you from the table.
Walking in is free. Prices run from €7 for a pin badge to €90 for a sweatshirt. The T-shirts and hoodies made with Nordic Buddies only come in unisex M and L, so if you want your size, don't hang about.
Open Tuesday to Saturday 11:30am–7:30pm, Sunday and Monday 2pm–7:30pm. Get off at Metro Sentier, Étienne Marcel or Les Halles. You have until 3 October.
