Fashion Week is usually something you watch from the pavement. JILL does the opposite. From 2 to 5 October, this new fashion fair sets up in the Jardin des Tuileries and lets everyone in for €10.
The artistic director is Jean-Pierre Blanc, founder of the Hyères festival and the man who has been spotting young designers since 1986. No seasonal collections here: collaborations, one-off pieces and limited editions.
You'll come across Emma Bruschi, Christine Phung, JeanPaul Lespagnard, Maison Rabih Kayrouz, Saskia Diez, Stéphanie Coudert and Kilomètre Paris. The set design is by Jean-Baptiste Fastrez, with a reading corner brought over from the International Library of Fashion Research in Oslo.
No invitation needed: you buy your ticket on site. Go in through the Cambon entrance, on the rue de Rivoli side (Metro Concorde or Tuileries), 9:30am–7pm Friday to Sunday and until 6pm on Monday. You have four days.
