Daft Punk in helmets and tuxedos, sitting with coffee in front of a jukebox in a French PMU bar

Photo · Around The World Expo

Five years after Daft Punk split, five friends and fans of the duo are putting together a photo exhibition called Around The World. About sixty pictures taken between 1997 and 2007, during promo tours in France, Japan and the United States, by a dozen photographers including Tetsuro Sato, Rick Guest, Zach Cordner and Philippe Levy.

The full exhibition opens in November; its dates and venue have not been announced. Before that comes a preview: 24 hours straight in a showroom at 58 rue Volta, in the upper Marais, from Friday 23 October at 6pm to Saturday 24 October at 6pm. Entry is free.

You see part of the selection: the two robots in tuxedos in front of the jukebox of a PMU bar (a French betting café), coffee in hand, or stretched out on deckchairs by a pool with cocktails within reach. You can drop by at 3am, it is open.

On site you can also pre-order limited-edition prints and buy an advance ticket for the November exhibition, for €10.
