The Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre, the grape harvest festival, is back from 7 to 11 October for its 93rd edition. The 2026 theme is Le 18e donne le rythme: the 18th arrondissement sets the beat. So there's music everywhere: concerts, choirs, bals (public dances) and musical processions through the streets.

The Parcours du Goût, a tasting trail, brings producers up onto the Butte. The Ban des Vendanges opens the festivities, the Grand Défilé parade comes down the cobbles, and the Cérémonie des non-demandes en mariage, a ceremony of marriage non-proposals, is still the most absurd moment on the Paris calendar.

And the Clos Montmartre, 1,500 m² of vines squeezed in on rue des Saules, really does get harvested. It's the only time of year you can see it up close.

Everything is free, though vineyard visits and a few events need signing up on the festival website. Take Metro line 12 to Abbesses or Lamarck-Caulaincourt. It runs until 11 October and ends with the closing bal. After that, you wait a year.
